After ICE raids rounded up nearly 200 illegal aliens in the Bay Area last week, San Francisco’s interim mayor, Mark Farrell, told reporters he’s committed to defending the illegal aliens arrested by ICE, and is willing to go to jail to defend the city’s sanctuary policies.
Farrell asked for $7 million a year to create a legal fund to defend San Francisco’s illegal alien population in immigration court.
Yes, you read that right. The leader of a city with literally tons of feces and used hypodermic needles on its streets wants to spend money instead on defending criminals against deportation.
I will not back down from fighting against the spiteful immigration policies of the Fed Admin. Our City and State are partnering together to keep our immigrant families & communities together. #SF is a #SanctuaryCity and will defend the rights of all our residents. pic.twitter.com/VDMeWFT8DQ

Mayor Farrell doesn’t even see the irony in this tweet, which reads: “Our City and State are partnering together to keep our immigrant families and communities together. #SF is a #SanctuaryCity and will defend the rights of all our residents.”
His desire to keep families and communities together is limited to “immigrant” families, not native San Franciscans or Californians. He doesn’t seem to care about the families ripped apart by illegal alien crime in his city, including our own Don Rosenberg’s family.
Farrell also tweets about his desire for San Francisco police to have “every tool and resource available to them.”
I believe our police officers need every tool and resource available to them to ensure that they can carry out their duties. We need a policy that provides our officers with tasers.https://t.co/bkpsWT2jcH

Perhaps if those law enforcement officers were able to cooperate with ICE and illegal aliens were taken off the streets, they’d be better able to SAFELY carry out their duties.
Mayor Farrell, your duty is to the law-abiding citizens of San Francisco, not to criminals who are not even supposed to be in your city to start with. We are committed to making sure sanctuary city and state policies like yours are repealed and that elected officials like you who attempt to obstruct justice are rewarded with time behind bars.
